UEFA has announced today that FK Pobeda, its president and one of the players have been charged for breaching the principles of integrity and sportsmanship with manipulation of the outcome of the match between Pobeda and Pyunik from Armenia on 13 July 2004.

The match under investigation was the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round game between FK Pobeda and FC Pyunik on 13 July 2004. The charge is based on reports received from the betting industry on irregular betting patterns and the declarations of several witnesses.

FFM's president Haralampie Hadzi-Risteski has given a statement for FFM's official website in which he says: ' We got the information from UEFA today and we will support this investigation fully. We will respect all decisions brought and recomendations for further reaction. I have contacted personally UEFA's board and got the information that several journalists from Macedonia have declared this matter and will be invited as witnesses in the case. For every other comment we will have to wait the final decision by UEFA.

The Control and Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on 17 April.
