Italy, Serie A, Roma - Inter 2:1
Goran Pandev returned to the Stadio Olimpico but started on the bench before he came on in the 59th minute replacing Dejan Stakovic with Inter losing 1:0.  Pandev added some creativity and Inter equalized in the 67th minute through Diego Milito with a goal that should not have counted as it was clearly offside.  Inter then almost took the lead in the 72nd minute when Pandev provided a great pass to Milito but he could not control the ball cleanly and the Roma keeper pounced on the ball.  A minute later, Roma scored the game winning goal which brings them only a point behind Inter for 1st place in Serie A.  There were a total of ten yellow cards in the match.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Mainz - Wolfsburg 0:2
Nikolce Noveski had another solid game as Mainz played better than the defending Bundesliga champions but they were very unlucky and their finishing let them down.  Noveski had a chance to open the scoring in the 12th minute when he received a good cross but his header was just wide of goal.  Noveski then showed why he is considered one of the best defenders in Germany when he cleared a low and dangerous cross in the 21st minute before getting the best of Edin Dzeko in the 39th and 46th minute with some nice tackles.  Mainz had the superior chances and dominated possession but their finishing was awful.  Wolfsburg made them pay in the 82nd minute when Dzeko gave the visitors a shocking and undeserving lead.  Mainz looked stunned and could not recover as Dzeko finished them off in the 90th minute when he added his second goal of the game.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen - Schalke 04 0:2
Besart Ibraimi was an unused substitute for Schalke 04 who are now 1st in the German Bundesliga.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Bochum - Eintracht Frankfurt 1:2
Oka Nikolov started for Eintracht who fell behind in the 10th minute with some lazy defending as there was nothing Nikolov could do to make the save from close range.  He wasn't busy in the 1st half besides the goal as most of the action was happening on the other end as Eintracht dominated possession and had far superior chances.  Eintracht finally equalized in the 29th minute when Marco Russ scored on a header from a well taken free kick.  Nikolov played a part in Eintracht's second goal as he took a long goal kick that found one of his teammates who passed it to Brazilian Caio who scored a great goal to give Eintracht all three points.  Aleksandar Vasoski remains out with an injury for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Russia, Premier-Liga, Krylya Sovetov - Tom Tomsk 2:3
Goran Maznov got the start for Tom Tomsk who fell behind 2:0 after just 11 minutes but then Tom Tomsk scored three goals before the end of the 1st half in the 23rd, 32nd, and 39th minute.  Maznov played a part in the 1st and 3rd goal when first he was fouled in the box and won a penalty for his team and then on the 3rd goal, he headed in a ball that was blocked by a defender but Maznov's teammate was there to tap the ball from close range and give Tomsk all three points.  Maznov played until the 88th minute when he was replaced by Denis Kiselyov.

Netherlands, Eredivisie, Roda - Heerenveen 4:2
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Heerenveen while Samir Fazli was surprisingly not among the 18 players called up after scoring his first goal last week.  Heerenveen trailed 4:0 at halftime and all goals were scored after a Heerenveen player received a red card in the 9th minute.
