ShkendijaShkendija Strange outcome of the 19th season of the Macedonian First Football League. Last year's second league club Shkendija Tetovo won the title, while the most famous Macedonian football clubs Vardar and Pelister are relegated.

After the win by Shkendija away to Horizont Turnovo and the draw of Metalurg away to Rabotnicki, the football clubs supported by ethnic Albanians in Macedonia, Shkendija from Tetovo, became champions of Macedonia, only a season after they were promoted from the second league.

At the same time, the Macedonian club with most won trophies in Macedonia and former Yugoslavia, Vardar, failed to defeat FK Skopje and are most likely relegated, together with Pelister, another legendary Macedonian football club.
