Daniel Ivanovski was a free agent but has been training with Mjällby and the expectation was that he was going to stay with the Swedish club.  That was officially confirmed yesterday when Ivanovski penned a 2 year extension with Mjällby.  According to Swedish media, the 28-year-old Ivanovski was also in contact with German and Croatian clubs but ultimately decided to return to Mjällby for his sixth season.  He originally joined the club in 2005 from Macedonian side Vardar and has made 93 appearances up to this point.

Ivanovski is usually deployed at CB for Mjällby but has been plagued by some serious injuries, including a broken collarbone this past season that forced Daniel to be out of action for several months.  However, when healthy, Mjällby was pleased with his performance so they decided to re-sign Ivanovski to a 2 year contract extension.  Besides Mjällby and Vardar, Daniel has also played for Sileks.  In addition, Ivanovski has made one appearance for the senior national team of Macedonia during a friendly against Turkey in 2004 while also being capped by the youth national teams.
