Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Karpaty and kept a clean sheet in the first game under new manager Nikolay Kostov. Karpaty was down to 9 players by the end of the 1st half after two red cards, leading Martin to be tested after the break, but Bogatinov rose up to the challenge and made several fine saves. Bogatinov also had some luck as two efforts by Tavriya hit the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Martin was also shown a yellow card by the referee for time wasting.
