Krste Velkoski is about to complete a move to South Korean side Gangwon FC.Attacker
After reports in several Macedonian media about a possible move of the Rabotnichki captain to the K-League Classic, we contacted Velkoski and he confirmed the rumors.
"It is true, on Monday I am flying to South Korea to sign for Gangwon FC. First of all I hope that I will adapt to the korean lifestyle and to their customs. I am looking forward to give my best in the new season." - told us Krste Velkoski. He will probably sign on 2 years.
For the 24-years-old Velkoski this will be his third foreign club as so far he has played for Romanian side Ceahlăul Piatra Neamţ and Cypriot team Enosis Neon Paralimni. He started his career in Rabotnichki's youth academy and later won the League and Cup with the same club before switching to Metalurg. After Metalurg he went abroad before eventually coming back to Rabotnichki. He is still waiting for his first national team call.
Gangwon last season was nearly relegated as finished one place above the relegation zone. The squad for the new season so far features only one international, Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Džakmić with all other players being Korean. Gangwon is also the former club of current Pandurii Târgu Jiu striker Bazhe Ilijoski.
