Midfielder Nebi Mustafi has decided to hang up his boots and retire from professional football.

The 37-year-old Mustafi put an end to a long career that included many domestic and foreign clubs. He retires from the same club where he started his career in Shkendija. Mustafi had his best years in the domestic league with Sloga Jugomagnat, winning 3 league titles and 1 domestic cup before moving abroad to Greek side Levadiakos. Additionally, he played for Swiss club Neuchâtel Xamax and Finnish teams Haka and MyPa. Afterwards, he moved back to Macedonia to play for Shkendija where he won one more league title and the Super Cup. He then briefly went to play for Drita before returning to Shkendija once again to end his career.

Mustafi won 7 caps for the Macedonian senior national team, his last appearance being in the 5:1 defeat against Finland in September of 2005 during the 2006 World Cup qualifiers. He has a younger brother Nuri who signed with Shkendija earlier in the winter transfer window.

Also, when it comes to Shkendija, they canceled the loan agreement of Swiss midfielder Denis Simijonović from Winterthur as he did not pass his medical.
