Senijad IbričićSenijad IbričićBosnian international Senijad Ibričić has officially transferred to Vardar after he passed his medical.

Vardar had to get this transfer done prior to 11 February, the last day of the winter transfer window in Macedonia. After some negotiations, Vardar and Erciyesspor were able to agree on an undisclosed transfer fee. Senijad Ibričić then passed his medical before he agreed personal terms with the club's management.

Sporting director Goce Sedloski was the lead negotiator for Vardar who identified Ibričić as the best available solution to strengthen the team's attack. Manager Sergey Andreyev has been looking for a new attacker after the subpar form of Filip Ivanovski and Filip Petkovski. Although Ibričić is not a classic CF, he can play multiple positions in attack. He is a proven player who experienced the most success with Hajduk Split in Croatia.

Ibričić has also been capped 42 times by Bosnia's national team. However, after the 2014 World Cup, he retired from the national team. Meanwhile, in an interview on Vardar's official website, Ibričić stated that he may reconsider that decision. Bosnia has since made a managerial change, so there is a possibility that he could return.

The signing of Ibričić further solidifies the strong winter transfer window for Vardar. They have added Tome Pachovski, Stefan Spirovski, Dejan Blazhevski and now Ibričić. That is a very strong haul for a Macedonian club. The team wants to not only win the domestic title (heavy favorite to do so), but also make some noise in Europe this upcoming summer.
