FK Pelister's management quits!

E-mail Print PDF
The problems in FK Pelister reached the highest level. Vice-president Gjorgji Siljanov and Mitko Stojkovski and Toni Micevski, the two Bitola football legends who decided to save the club several years ago, have quitted from further club managing.

In an announcement sent to the media, the trio that was responsible for Pelister's returning from second league all the way to being 'bronse' in the last season and playing in UEFA cup, stated that their time in the club has come to an end.  The lack of a solid and stable financial sponsor is the main reason they have decided to quit. The board of directors, however, will remain in almost unchanged way with Jovko Krstevski as president.

Huge appreciation to the footballers, sponsors, municipality of Bitola, fans and everybody else involved in the recent successes of FK Pelister in the past couple of years is expressed in the announcement as well.

The future is now still undecided. The break because of the national team matches will serve good for the board of directors to find replacement. Rumours are already spreading about the possible new sponsors, but as things are still unofficial, macedonianfootball.com will not comment.
