Markoski to remain with Ayia Napa

Bojan Markoski failed to agree terms with the unnamed Vietnamese club, so he alerted Ayia Napa that he will stay with them.

Over the weekend, Bojan Markoski returned to Cyprus after his trip to Vietnam ended without an agreement. Markoski and his agent traveled to Vietnam last week after being enticed by a lucrative offer, but that proved to be a lie as the contract terms when they got there turned out to be completely different. So, Bojan and his representative immediately returned to Cyprus after seeing that the unnamed Vietnamese team was not serious.

The agent of Markoski then contacted Ayia Napa management to inform them of what happened in Vietman, and to also tell them that his client would like to remain with the club. Markoski served as the captain of Ayia Napa this past season, so they welcomed that news. Therefore, Markoski will once again be defending the colors of the club that barely avoided relegation.

Markoski, 31, debuted for Macedonia earlier this year in the March qualifier versus Belarus. That came after Boshko Gjurovski scouted him at a game between Ayia Napa and Ermis. However, new manager Ljubinko Drulović did not call him up for the June 14 clash against Slovakia. He selected Vanche Shikov, Daniel Mojsov, Vladimir Dimitrovski and Kire Ristevski as his four central defenders.
