Late on Friday, Shkendija announced that Shpetim Duro has agreed terms to become the head coach of the club.

This agreement marks a return for Shpetim Duro as he coached Shkendija during the 2013-14 season. He took over midway through that campaign and led them to a spot in the Europa League qualifications. However, in the summer of 2014, he left, despite being offered a new contract, to head back to his hometown of Tirana, taking over Partizani.

Last month, despite Partizani achieving a berth in the Europa League qualifications, Duro once again departed. Fast forward to today and Shkendija revealed on its website that Shpetim Duro has agreed terms to become manager of the club. This was a reunion that both sides wanted.

Jeton Beqiri, the coach who closed this past season as Shkendija's interim manager, will remain on Duro's staff as his lead assistant. He was also an assistant under Duro back in the 2013-14 season.

Shkendija said that Duro has agreed to a 2 year contract, and he will officially join the team next Monday. That's when he travels to Slovenia to take charge of the summer preparations for Shkendija.

Duro, 55, will also be reunited with Ardian Cuculi. They were both members of Partizani during the 2014-15 season, and now both of them have decided to return to Shkendija this summer.
