Mjällby, currently stuck in last place of the Swedish second division, has decided to bring back Daniel Ivanovski.

Daniel Ivanovski spent nearly a decade with Mjällby, but he was not re-signed following the end of the 2014 season. Ivanovski then moved to Iceland to play with Fjölnir, but he decided to terminate his contract early since he wanted to go back to Sweden for family reasons. His wife and daughter live in Sweden, so that was the reason for his decision to leave Fjölnir.

Mjällby, struggling mightily in the second division, offered Ivanovski to chance to join their trainings. After two weeks of training with them, Mjällby decided to sign Ivanovski. The move was announced on the club's website. Mjällby said they will look to quickly register the player to the Swedish federation, so he can be made eligible as soon as possible. The season is currently active in Sweden.

Mjällby risks back-to-back relegations if their form does not improve. At the end of 2014, they were relegated to the second division, and now they sit bottom there midway through the 2015 season. They only have eight points in 16 league games.
