A pretty significant move occurred during the draw for the 2018 World Cup qualifications. Vardar decided to make a coaching change just before the start of the new season. As a reminder, the 2015-16 campaign gets underway on Sunday, August 9.

Sergey Andreyev, a Russian, was very unpopular with the fans of Vardar. They absolutely despised him, so this should be welcome news for the supporters. Sergey came to Vardar as a rather anonymous figure as there was little information about his coaching career. All that was known is that he had a good relationship with Vardar's owner Sergey Samsonenko. Andreyev lasted about 20 months with Vardar.

Sedloski, 41, does have coaching experience by briefly managing Turnovo back in the 2013-14 season. Before that stint, he served as as assistant with both Mattersburg in Austria and the Macedonian national team. He even managed the Macedonian squad on one occasion in in interim role.

Over the past year, the most capped Macedonian national team member (the only one to reach 100 caps) has served as the sporting director of Vardar. So, he goes from sporting director to head coach. Sedloski is responsible for the players that are signed, so now he will also be responsible for coaching them. This will bring added accountability on his shoulders.

We shall see how Sedloski is accepted by the Vardar fans this season.
