Both Vardar and Shkendija decided not to offer contracts to players that were on trial over the past week.

Vardar brought in center-forward Bogdan Milic for a look, but he only lasted a couple of days on his trial. The Montenegrin, who stands 6'8" tall, failed to impress the coaching staff, now under the guidance of Goce Sedloski. As one can imagine, Milic is not very mobile due to his size. After testing his qualities for several days, Milic was informed that he would not be offered a contract.

Meanwhile, Shkendija had two players on trial over the past week. They hosted Croatian left-back Ivan Vasilj and Bulgarian midfielder Nikolay Dyulgerov. In the end, they were also not signed. Each player even played in two friendlies. However, Shkendija manager Shpetim Duro did not view Vasilj and Dyulgerov as upgrades at their respective positions. Thus, Duro notified Shkendija's management to pass.

It remains to be seen whether Vardar and/or Shkendija will now look elsewhere to improve their rosters. Both teams could use more help and depth, so we'll see if they address their needs prior to the opening of the season on August 9.
