Veteran striker Goran Maznov will try to help Belasica win promotion after signing with them on Tuesday.

Goran Maznov is a well known name to most people who have followed the national team over the past decade. Maznov, now 34 years old and out of the national team picture, made over 40 caps for Macedonia and scored 10 goals. He is one of four players in national team history to have reached double digit goals for Macedonia.

On Wednesday, Belasica made official the signing of Maznov. This will mark a return to Strumica for Goran as that city is where he was born. He was once a member of Belasica's renowned youth academy that produced the likes of Goran Pandev, Goran Popov and Aco Stojkov, among others.

Belasica is expected to be Maznov's final team as he winds down his career. The club now competes in the third division after they were unable to win promotion last season. The goal in this campaign is the same, which is promotion to the Second League. Goran moves to Belasica from Shkupi.

As part of the contract, Maznov will be afforded the ability to be part of Belasica's ownership group after he retires.
