Vardar dropped two points to Shkupi in the opening round of the season, but they made amends today. The quality was once again on Vardar's side and this time they managed to avoid concentration lapses. Vardar netted two goals in the 1st half to basically put the game away since Shkupi lacks offensive firepower. Vardar's top two goalscorers, Dejan Blazhevski and Filip Ivanovski, got on the scoresheet once, while Stefan Spirovski netted a third goal in the 90th minute to help them beat their heated in-city rival.

The goals and some highlights:

Shkupi: Zendeli, Murati, E. Asani, Adili, Lazarevski, B. Asani, Bajrami, Janevski (46' Osmani), Adem, Iseni (46' Maksuti, 68' Arif), Demiri.

Vardar: Pachovski, Brdarovski, Grncharov, Mijušković, Popov, Gligorov, Velkovski (58' Ljamchevski), Dashyan, Juan Felipe (87' Spirovski), Blazhevski (72' Stojkov), Ivanovski.

In Ohrid, Shkendija played its first match without the injured Ferhan Hasani. Ardian Cuculi, meanwhile, returned from his red card suspension and took over as the new captain. The absence of Hasani was pretty evident as Shkendija failed to replicate its form in today's clash against Mladost. Instead, they could only muster a penalty kick goal by Besart Ibraimi in the 34th minute. Ten minutes later, former Shkendija player Ersen Sali scored on a nice shot to ensure a hard fought point for Mladost.

Highlights of the game:

Mladost: Petrovski, Veljanoski, Grozdanoski, Ristevski, Gjoreski, Simjanovski (67' Velevski), Dalcheski (90'+2 Azizi), Dimoski, Konjarski, Sali (83' Nikolovski), Kalanoski.

Shkendija: Jovanovski, Todorovski, Rech, Polozhani, Cuculi, Demiri, Alimi, Totre (56' Kirovski), Stênio Júnior, Ibraimi, Vručina (76' Bejtulai).

Sileks remained in third place on the table with a home victory over last ranked Metalurg. Their leading scorer, Igor Nedeljković, converted a penalty in the 1st half, while Sileks added two more goals after the break. Sileks has set a goal of finishing in 3rd or 4th place this season, thus having a chance to participate in the Europa League qualifications next summer.

Video of the goals:

Sileks: Mitrović, Timovski, Mickov, S. Rudan, Gucev, Ivanov, Gligorov, Panovski (63' Acevski), Duranski (90'+2 Klechkaroski), Gorgiev, Nedeljković (82' Djonov).

Metalurg: Dimovski, Jevtoski, Mitrevski, Krivanjeva, Gjorgievski (65' Ristovski), Bakracheski, Mersovski, Danoski (73' Jakimoski), Stojanovski (65' Stancheski), Angelov, Naumoski.

Renova, meanwhile, exploded for five goals in their triumph against Turnovo. It was the highest scoring game of the round with a total of seven goals. Renova's five goals came from five different players, so they got great contributions all over the place, while Turnovo's two goals came on converted penalty kicks. Both teams also finished the match with 10 men due to red cards.

Renova: Efremov, Memedi, Mecinovikj, Mishkovski, J. Selmani (73' Bajrami), Shabani (67' Redjepi), Jusufi (61' R. Selmani), Fetai, Gafuri, Nuhiu, Emini.

Turnovo: Stoilkov, Tashev, Iliev (41' Stoilov), Ivanov, Milushev, Mavrov, Tafe, Matute (70' Bozhinov), Imeri, Kochoski (41' Najdenov), Pandev.

In the other game played on Saturday, Rabotnichki and Bregalnica shared the points in a 0:0 draw.
