After Rabotnichki and Sileks disappointed, everyone hoped that at least Shkendija will stay undefeated. The Polish guests were slight favourites but Shkendija presented a great play and recorde a well deserved win.

Cracovia started the game by having most of the initial possession in the the opening 15 minutes, but later Shkendija played more and more without preasure. After missing several chances, the opening goal came four minutes before the break. Ferhan Hasani was about to take a free kick, but instead of shooting towards the goal he made a short pass for Besart Ibraimi who fired a shot from around 20 meters and beat the Polish keeper.

After the break Shkendija did not let Cracovia to control the game and instead managed to add a second goal. Stênio Júnior scored in the 68th minute after Blagoja Todorovski found him perfectly in the box.

Great game by Shkendija and what is most important great result from the first leg. Shkendija will now travel to Poland for the return leg with big chances to advance in the next round. If they manage to do that they will face the winner of the clash between Azeri side Neftçi and Balzan from Malta. The Azeri side won 2:0 on the road in the first leg.


Cracovia will host Shkendija at the Marszałek Piłsudski stadium in Krakow next Thursday with a kick-off at 20.00 CET.
