U21 next gen starts with two draws

The U21 at the first game; photo: Gol.mkThe U21 at the first game; photo: Gol.mkA new generation of U21 players (born 1996 and younger) played two friendly games last week in Ohrid against two first league clubs Pobeda and Renova, as a preparation for 2019 EURO qualifiers.

Our U21 team played well enough considering that these were their first games together. They had a lead at both games but at the end both games finished with the same result of 2:2.

At the first game played against Renova last Tuesday, Macedonia U21 had 2:0 lead after the first 45 minutes with the goals scored by Elif Elmas Tihomir Kostadinov. During the second half Renova scored two goals and equalized the result through Murat Adili and Valjmir Nafiu.

In the second game played against Pobeda last Thursday, the U21 took the lead right in the opening minute with the goal scored by Remzifaik Selmani. Pobeda equalized with Alex Simovski's own goal scored just 5 minute before the break after a misunderstanding with the goalkeeper Ilikj. Just before the half-time whistle Elmas scored the second goal for the U21s. The final score was provided by Pobeda's attacker Nikolche Sharkoski in the 68th minute.
