Igor MitreskiIgor MitreskiAfter the heavy critics by Igor Mitreski in the media, the board of Energie Cottbus has suspended the Macedonian defender from the first team and will now only be part of the amateur team.

FC Energie Cottbus is currently placed on the last position of the German Bundesliga with only 6 points after 11 played matches. The bad results were reason for Igor Mitreski to give harsh critics for the club in the German media. Mainly his critics were focused on the head coach Bojan Prašnikar and the club's general manager Steffen Heidrich.

 - "The coach took me out of the team after the first game (a 3-0 loss against Hoffenheim) and did not speak with me for a month," Mitreski said, conceding that he had a bad game against Hoffenheim. "Other players made mistakes too. Some are always playing regardlessly of their performances. Last season, I played 32 games from the start but I don't know what's happening this season. Maybe I am not needed anymore."
The next time Mitreski played, he received a red card and got a three-game ban.

There was immediate reaction by Energie Cottbus and the 29-years-old member of the Macedonian national team was suspended by the first team and in the future he will train with the amateurs. Additionally, he will have to pay 10.000 Euros to the club from Cottbus.

Igor Mitreski has a contract with FC Energie Cottbus until 2010, but regarding the current situation, he will have to move to another club this winter. Unofficially, his new club will have to pay 900.000 euros to Cottbus.
