This summer is turning into an arms race between Vardar and Shkendija. Both teams are signaling their intent to build competitive squads that can have sustained success, both in Macedonia and hopefully Europe.

Late on Sunday, Shkendija announced the signing of Marjan Radeski on its website. He will be unveiled to the press on Monday. Shkendija says they beat out Grasshoppers (Switzerland) to capture Marjan's signature. He joins an attack that has already added Ferhan Hasani and Besart Ibraimi this summer.

Radeski is undoubtedly one of the top young talents in Macedonia. He was Metalurg's top performer this past season, scoring 10 goals and playing an instrumental role in leading them to a top-6 finish. Marjan has good technique and offers good versatility since he can play several positions in attack.

Since the signing occurred today, Radeski will not be eligible to participate in Shkendija's return leg against Aberdeen. No player can be added in the middle of a match-up. However, if Shkendija gets past Aberdeen, then Radeski would be available for the next round.

Shkendija broke the domestic transfer fee record by bringing in Radeski.
